Rick and Betty-Jenkins Blair "We've been assisting others with their dreams, in one form or another, for years. As professional psychotherapists in South Florida, we've helped others to listen to their heartfelt yearnings and to find ways of bringing them to life." Our own personal journey down this path led us to building a small log cabin on our vacation property in beautiful North Georgia in 1996. This little cabin has been a wonderful oasis and retreat for us and our family/friends. It also opened other doors of desire felt in the midst of our all too hectic lifestyle: the desire for simplicity, for nature, for the basic joys of sharing life's gentle moments sitting by the warmth of the fire with the one you love. Simply put, as we followed our passion, small steps took us gradually to the crossroads of a major life change. We moved from Florida to our North Georgia retreat in 2002, which by this time included an additional log home serving as our primary residence and model home for our growing log home business. Interestingly enough, becoming dealers for a national log home company was a synthesis of various talents and inspirations for us. As we have advised and supported our clients through the years to do, we challenged ourselves to develop dormant skills that gave fuller expression to our lives. This involved Rick's long standing aptitude and enjoyment of hand craftsmanship, architectural design, and computer skills, along with Betty's knack for interior design and ability to soften home interiors with her "rustic elegance" style -- incorporating antiques, iron works, quilts, and fine porcelain. The most fulfilling aspect of our business, however, is our genuine interest and relationship with the people with whom we work. Just as in any other endeavor that involves relating to another human being...if there is a trusting relationship...positive things can happen! The way in which we work with our clients is an extension of the values by which we strive to live: honesty, integrity, and relating to others in ways that we all want to be treated. Our clients have let us know that it was this human factor that made the difference. Designing a log home with just the "right touches" is a collaborative pleasure that we also hope to share with you!
